Our Process
Every jar of Mr. Milk Ghee takes 2 days and 6 steps to produce. No shortcuts. No machines. Just the ancient bilona method.
Sourced fresh each morning from free-grazing Gir cows on our partner farms.
Milk is boiled, cooled and cultured overnight with natural dahi starter to set curd.
Curd is hand-churned using a wooden bilona to separate makhan (butter) — a process that takes 45 minutes per batch.
Makhan is slow-cooked on an open wood fire until all moisture evaporates and the milk solids settle golden at the bottom.
Pure liquid ghee is filtered through muslin cloth to remove all milk solids and impurities.
Cooled ghee is poured into food-grade glass jars, sealed and dispatched fresh.

FAQs
A2 Gir Cow Ghee is made from the milk of indigenous Gir cows, which naturally produce only the A2 beta-casein protein. Unlike A1 milk from cross-bred cows, A2 milk is considered easier to digest and richer in nutrients.
Bilona is the traditional Vedic process: whole milk is boiled, cooled, cultured into curd, hand-churned with a wooden bilona churner to extract butter (makhan), which is then slow-cooked on an open flame to produce ghee.
No. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry spoon each time. Shelf life is 12 months from production.
Yes. During the clarification process, milk solids (containing lactose) are removed. The final ghee is virtually lactose-free.
